Interbank will adopt a permanent remote work model. What is it about?

According to recent figures from the INEI, in Metropolitan Lima, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 38.8% of companies operate in face-to-face work modality, 33% in mixed modality (face-to-face and remote) and 28.2% only in remote work.

Interbank announced that it will adopt a new permanent remote work model, the same one that will offer employees the mixed option of working at home or in offices.

This new model is called “Interbank Eres”, and it is focused on the collaborator, the same one that incorporates the “Remote First” concept as an option for those workers who prefer it. This model also redefines the use and concept of offices that will become collaborative spaces available to teams.

"For Interbank this process has already begun, and we are sure that we will continue to grow and build increasingly friendly and efficient work environments in which the culture of values characteristic of Interbank is lived", said Julio del Valle, Manager of Management and Development Human from Interbank.

According to recent figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), in Metropolitan Lima, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 38.8% of the companies operate in face-to-face work modality, 33% in mixed modality (face-to-face and remote) and 28.2% only in remote work.

In addition, it was observed that mixed work has been adopted by 65.7% of large companies, 60.9% of medium-sized companies, 49.5% of small companies and 24.5% of micro-companies.

All these indicators point to the need to transcend; innovating, taking advantage of and expanding those alternative forms of work that resulted from the health crisis. Some aspects considered for the design of this new model with mixed characteristics are related to:

  • Trust between teams that facilitate collaboration.
  • Empathy to understand the new needs that will continue to arise.
  • Personal health and care; as a priority axis in the middle of a health crisis.
  • Working days for the fulfillment of objectives.
